
Normal session at the Nakuru County Assembly resumed on Thursday morning with Speaker Joel Maina Kairu assuring members who voted against him during the impeachment debate that they will not be victimized in anyway.
He congratulated the two camps which were supporting and opposing the motion, for conducting themselves in a sober manner devoid of disrespectful language to each other.
“I am very grateful Honorable members for the manner in which you conducted yesterday’s debate and rest assured no one will be victimized for his/her stand,” he said.
Addressing the house during Thursday’s morning session where he chaired, Honorable Kairu said the house leadership will now turn the focus on uniting the members.
The Speaker also noted that yesterday’s motion was clear indication, that Nakuru County Assembly under his leadership is a democratic institution which follows laws as provided for in the standing orders.
