
The House has passed the Nakuru County Supplementary Appropriation Bill 2019.
During a special sitting on Monday, the house approved a net additional funding of Sh.373 million.
The move means the county would now budget with Sh 21.75 billion from the initial Sh.21.37 billion as passed in the county’s budget for the financial year 2019/20.
The Committee through their chairman Hon. Joel Karuri recommended amendments of the recurrent expenditure in the Department of infrastructure by increasing the budgetary provision by Sh 15 million to read Sh 20.6 million.
“The move has been occasioned by provision for fuels, casuals and maintenance in this department,” read part of the report.
The Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries development expenditure be amended by increasing the allocation by Sh. 4.4 million to read Sh. 216 million while the recurrent expenditure was reduced by Sh 1 million to read Sh 21.9 million.
Among other amendments done; the allocation in the Health Department be reduced by Sh.674.5 million to read Sh. 13.2 million due to Honorable members’ reallocation of their ward project.
An amendment in the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources was increased by Sh. 8.98 million to read Sh. 33.5 million.
