The House receives updates on petitions and statements

The House receives a report from the Committee on Health Services on a petition by Laban Omusundi of Nakuru Town East, urging the House to implement measures protecting cemeteries and preventing exhumations, as recently reported in the mainstream media. The report is to be presented by Hon. Njuguna Mwaura, Chairperson of the Committee on Health Services.
Hon. Members also seek statements on key issues, including:
• Delayed development projects in Kiamaina Ward and the installation of streetlights in Gituamba and Rurii Sub-Locations.
• The implementation of the Nakuru County Sports Management Act, 2024.
• The status of Pipeline-Mutaita Road.
• A tragic electrocution incident at Ol-Rongai Center, Menengai West Ward.
Responses to these requests are to be presented by the respective Committee Chairpersons during the session.

THIRD ASSEMBLY (FIFTHSESSION) HOUSE PROCEEDINGS, AFTERNOON SESSION, 4TH MARCH 2026

The House receives a petition by Mr. Joseph Ndungu, a resident of Mzee Wanyama, seeking its intervention to restrain Kajowagi Solid Waste Service Provider Zone 14 from taking over a piece of land allegedly designated for garbage disposal.

The House also receives the Nakuru County Debt Management Strategy Paper for the MTEF period 2026/2027 – 2028/2029, laid before the House pursuant to Section 123 of the Public Finance Management Act.

THIRD ASSEMBLY (FIFTH SESSION) HOUSE PROCEEDINGS, MORNING SESSION, 4TH MARCH 2026

The House receives a petition seeking its intervention to consider allocation of a budget for the Creatives of Nakuru under the Department of Culture for the Financial Years 2025/2026, 2026/2027 and 2027/2028.

The House also receives a petition urging it to ensure that the implementation of Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) by the Department of Environment adheres to established legislation.
